About Jane Whitmore
I am Jane Whitmore, Psy.D., a clinical psychologist and former archeologist. I have traveled extensively around the world. Although I am originally from New York, I have lived in New Mexico for 46 years. I have two sons and two grandsons who bring much pleasure to my life.
I have been interested in cultural diversity most of my life. I love to travel, to have new experiences and to meet people whose world views are different than mine.

The Enduring Traditions Project is an outgrowth of my lifelong interest in other cultures and my professional work as an anthropologist and clinical psychologist.
In 2018, I closed my clinical psychology practice, and I now work full-time on my photography and writing projects. Through these projects, I strive to promote human rights, and respect for cultural diversity; to evoke compassion for the human condition; and to enhance cultural pride. I use photography and writing to advocate for these issues by documenting the experiences of prehistoric, historic and contemporary cultures.
