The attitudes we convey are important in creating a more peaceful and accepting world. I believe most people have good intentions towards others. I want to carry this attitude forward as I live each day, meet new people and greet others.
My neighbors’ attitudes towards others are clearly displayed on placards outside their homes. One neighbor sends a message that is accepting, caring and concerned. The other neighbor sends a message of hostility and fear. The barrel of the gun points directly into my face as I walk down the street.
